On Friday, the children and staff got the bunting and flags out to celebrate the 70th annivesary of Victory in Europe Day. Everyone came to school dressed in red white and blue to match the Union Flag
Year 3 started the celebrations with a great assembly explaining what VE Day is and why it is important. They entertained the school with readings and songs from the era. The children then went to class to take part in VE Day activites. At lunchtime, all the children went outside for a street party style lunch. Afterwards all the children came outside to take part in some whole school circle games. All the children had a great day and will remember the day for a long time!
